The last 6 months have been a return to Love for me personally. I have new love in my life. My baby granddaughter. It's hard for me to believe I ever considered living so far from her and my daughter. Love is literally my religion!
After speaking with a couple of people who urged me to follow my heart, I knew I had to head back west. I had not yet held my one month old baby granddaughter. When I held my granddaughter for the first time, I pledged to myself that I would make the world a better place for her and all children. Her generation and those that will follow. Yes, I am hopeful that many generations will continue to populate our beautiful Planet. I do not believe in "Raptures" or any other spiritual rescue from personal responsibility. I believe, based on objective observation, that we have been given a great gift that most of us squander. Many of my fellow human beings have been spinning stories that exempt them from personal responsibility towards one another and the source of life that we all are made from.
Religion or any other belief system should not excuse us from our responsibility to all life. We are made of the earth and will return to the earth. Let us not forget to be natural beings while we are here. Whatever Mystery you believe in, let it not be an excuse for not living in the here and now and doing the best you can. Look at your world. Listen to real science. Go out and observe the natural cycles. Feel it in your bones.
I truly love each and every human being on this planet. My teachers and my lessons have brought me to the brink of despair and this allowed me to find my greatest strength. Love truly is my religion.
I took this photo with my iPhone while leaving Whole Foods this week. I thanked him gratefully for allowing me to take this photograph. How often do you see bananas on someones head. Fun!
"Love is my Religion" by Ziggy Marley. What a great message. Glad to be back home to my own heart!
