Full Moon November 2015

11/25/2015

The full moon is always beautiful and enchanting.  It can also be an inspiration to open to universal intelligence.  Taking the time to contemplate our role in a larger whole.  Feeling aligned with a greater power can inspire us to create.  We can feel the creative power of the moon.  This creative power has been used since the beginning of time in many cultures.

Meditation is a powerful tool for self awareness and creativity.  Most of us skip this important and necessary step to healthy manifestation.  A lack of awareness of others needs as well as our own can lead to manifesting less than our hearts desire.

I'm going to list the process I use when I meditate.

Here they are:   4 Steps taken from the book "Breaking the Habit of Being Yourself"

1- Induction technique: a form of relaxation

2-Recognition: awareness of something you would like to change about yourself.

3-Declare:  admit to a higher power within yourself what you would like to change.

4- Surrender:  you surrender this self limiting state to a greater mind.

I recommend reading:  Breaking the Habit of Being Yourself by Dr. Joe Dispenza

I rarely get to the creation part of the meditation, steps 5, 6, & 7, since it can take an hour to go through the four steps.  By using a new trick that leaves me in a blissful state without spending the full two hours recommended by Dr. Joe.  I move through the four stages first and end with a few minutes in what I term my "safe place".  This should be a place or person that brings you great joy.  It can be an activity.  Combining all three is wonderful too.  When you feel grateful, stop meditating and go out and enjoy your day.  If you can get through the four stages and move on to creation in less than an hour, by all means do what works.  If you have two hours to dedicate to your practice, that's great.  You can also use your "safe place" when stuck in traffic or any other stressful situation.  Take a minute or two to feel your "safe place".  The feelings that are inspired during your meditation are all that you need to remember.

Manifestation is the by product of clear intention.  I trust that if I clear away negative thoughts and programming, that my intuition will become clearer and I will take right action in the moment.  When I am blindsided, I use this as an opportunity to see my unconscious stuff.  Life really becomes a game when you stop being defensive and drop self-righteousness.

We can honor our values without being self-righteous.  We begin to naturally choose people and places that support our values.  The need to change others falls away as we walk our talk and leave the rest to a higher mind.

 Happy Full Moon!

The Importance of Intuition

On this New Moon day we all begin again.  New Moons are great for planting seeds figuratively and metaphorically.  Following your intuition is required in order to fulfill your dreams.  We may occasionally need the affirmation of a respected confidant or an astrologer, therapist, etc.  Ultimately, if we aren't listening to our own intuition, then we will be derailed repeatedly.  All of the good advice in the world will never help us to live the lives we were truly meant to live without listening to our intuition.

My awareness of the need to follow both my heart and my intuition has left me at times puzzled.  Our heart feels like our emotions but it's not exactly the same.  Our emotions move through us like a wave.  Our hearts desire is based on something more enduring inside of us.  It is tied to destiny.  If we follow our intuition then we reach our destiny.  Destiny is a place of fulfillment.

I am processing three weeks of powerful experience.  I listened to my intuition on the last new moon and went to visit a friend and a new place.  Every day was an intuitive adventure.  On the full moon I walked a labyrinth under the moon light while listening to the coyotes howl.  It was magical.

Composite theory: Strengths and Weaknesses

11/9/2015

I am always learning about the limitations of my understanding of various astrological theories.  I have studied composite theory for more than twenty years.  I have looked at hundreds of couple charts.  It is an amazingly accurate tool for describing the energy between two or more people.  Still, human interpretation, experience, and dialogue are necessary for a clear picture of the purpose of the relationship and it's possible longevity.

I recently had a powerful personal experience that made me aware of the limitations of doing a composite before two people actually get to know one another.  There are aspects that indicate a beautiful union if the people involved want an intimate relationship, yet those same aspects can be difficult to deal with if the two people want a casual business like relationship.  In other words, what is good for one type of relationship might be very difficult for another type.  Some degree of objectivity is needed in all relationship, but more is needed in a business relationship than in a friendship or romantic relationship.

Only through honest and open dialogue can the reality of the relationship be obtained.  Neptune in hard aspect to mercury is an example of a need to take time getting to know one another.  Neptune in the third house can also lead to misunderstanding.  These are two examples of red flags that warn us to slow down.

I have a thorough process that I use involving the composite chart, the individuals charts, and comparisons between all three.  As I grow in knowledge and experience, I find this process the most revealing and helpful.
